About this deal

All the batteries lose their performance with time and usage. Their capacity decreases and the internal resistance increases. Don’t expect the very same performance from few years old batteries as you get from the new ones. We have already reported about Dom Varney’s articles “ Powering the Fujifilm X-T3” and “ Fujifilm NP-W126S Battery Counterfeits – A Visual Guide to Spotting the Fakes“. Personally I have a couple of Fujifilm OEM batteries, but I am also satisfied with my Patona batteries (I think they are Watson branded in North America). in., 3690k-dot OLED viewfinder; magnification 0.75× with 50 mm lens (35 mm format equivalent) at infinity and diopter set to −1.0 m−1; diagonal angle of view approximately 38° (horizontal angle of view approximately 30°)

(1.39 in.)fujirumors.com– TESTED: Third Party Fuji Batteries? “Inflated capacity values. Some batteries almost Fraud!”… and the Winner is…? Highly respected 3rd Party batteries like Watson and Patona, quote capacities that are very similar to the OEM battery’s capacity. My own experience, and that of many others, is that the best 3rd Party batteries can deliver a capacity similar to the OEM batteries

My old original NP-W126 currently, after several years of usage, has roughly 1100 mAh, while it had >1200 mAh when new. Lower quality batteries can show more significant aging, the DSTE battery is already almost unusable. Conclusion The frame rate and number of frames per burst varies with shooting conditions and type of memory card used. So, although capacity need not be a deal breaker issue for the OEM vs 3rd Party decision, it is not the only performance specification that needs to be considered.

They often have almost the same capacities and also heat management under a heavy load seems to be alright.
